New Buildings
In 2025, the new VISTA science experience center opened to serve as a central location for on-campus outreach and science education activities as well as the new campus kindergarten. The next construction phase includes Lab7 and Lab8, which will include space for more laboratories, a new cafeteria, and more office space for research groups and administrative teams.
Technology and Research center
To bridge the gap between research and industry, Xista, the technology and research center opened across the road from ISTA on September 30, 2019. In 2025, the Xista park campus was expanded to include several new buildings.
Xista provides state-of-the-art lab and office infrastructure, customizable to the needs of university spin-offs, deep tech startups, and R&D companies to support the translation of research findings into innovative products. The exchange within the Xista community as well as interaction with the researchers of ISTA is highly encouraged. The current community comprises companies active in software as well as in the life sciences and physical sciences, and organizations supporting innovative projects.
